Camp Northwood maintains a well-equipped Health Center. Two New York State Registered Nurses and a New York State Licensed Emergency Medical Technician provide 24-hour on-site medical care.
Camp Northwood carries its own health and accident insurance for every camper.
Camp Northwood’s doctor-on-call operates a medical clinic just 10 minutes from camp and the Faxton/St. Lukes Hospital campus located in Utica, NY is approximately 25 minutes from camp and is available for emergency medical services.
All camper and staff medication is kept under lock and key in Camp Northwood’s Health Center. Medication is only dispensed by Camp Northwood’s medical staff.
All campers and staff are required to have a physical within twelve months prior to the start of the camp season.
